New Owner for Denver Children’s Retailer Petite Patoot
Boutique offers economical alternative for luxury children's attire
DENVER – Petite Patoot, a children’s boutique clothing store selling discounted designer clothes, has changed ownership. The new owner, Renie Mayfield, will continue to serve the niche market of upscale new and gently used children’s clothing at deep discounts to the consumer.
"I love the concept of Petite Patoot – upscale retail, approached responsibly. We create the
opportunity for our customers to indulge in high-end children's clothing at moderate prices, with an environmentally friendly model," Mayfield said. "Our clothing is second generation, be it brand new from another boutique or previously worn by another consumer who has chosen to 'wear it forward.' A second life for any manufactured item is a chink in the chain of consumption. Even the most responsible consumer wants the best for their children, and that includes designer clothes."
Petite Patoot, located on South Broadway near the new Gates Condominiums, is a high-end thrift experience offering designer label children's clothing for girls and boys, newborn to 10/12. New merchandise is purchased from boutiques across the country and sold at greatly reduced prices. Additionally, the store carries a selective line of very gently used children's clothing.
The store presents a mix of high-end new and used children’s clothing, outerwear, shoes,
accessories and gifts in exclusive, boutique brands such as Oilily, April Cornell, Baby Lulu,
Miniman, Catimini, Little Mass, Absorba, and Zutano. Petite Patoot also offers new baby gift and layette items. Mayfield adds, “I am discovering that the store has quite a following - almost in a secretive way. I don't think anyone wants to share!"
